This Saturday, the Government of Venezuela assured that a U.S. “destroyer” “deployed eighteen personnel with long weapons” and occupied this Friday the vessel, where “nine humble fishermen” were located in the “Venezuelan Exclusive Economic Zone”.
Defense Minister Denounces that the U.S. Conducts “Intelligence” Flights Against Venezuela
Caracas.- Venezuela’s Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, denounced this Sunday that the United States is carrying out “intelligence” flights against the South American country, in a context in which he assured that Washington wants to justify a “plan of military threat and intervention” to “displace President Nicolás Maduro”.
In a press conference, broadcast by the state-owned channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Padrino López stated that “intelligence operations have always been carried out on United States Army aircraft” in the Caribbean, but, he added, they went from a daytime to a nighttime and early morning pattern and to “tripling, in August, intelligence and exploration operations against Venezuela.”

“In September, every day. Last night, intelligence aircraft, tankers supplying fuel in mid-flight,” he indicated.
The military chief pointed out that the United States crosses the Venezuelan “flight information region” and “most of the time they violate operational rules because they do not notify their flight plan, which could cause air accidents.”
Likewise, he mentioned several types of aircraft that have been identified, such as the Boeing RC-135, which is designed to “collect and process information in real time” and “its range reaches Venezuelan territory” through, he underlined, “intelligence, electronic and signal systems, radars, cameras, advanced sensors”.
“They are planes that are doing intelligence and we know it. Intelligence for what? They will know, we are doing our internal intelligence processes,” he anticipated.
“We are prepared. Before each flight we take action individually or collectively. We know what they are doing. We know the deployment they have in the Caribbean Sea, with the intention of sowing a war,” he assured.
In his opinion, this deployment “is looking for an incident” so that Venezuela falls into “the game of provocation” and allows the United States to “escalate with legitimacy” in the “military conflict and produce the aggression” that they have been “announcing for a month.”
The United States maintains eight missile-equipped military ships and a nuclear-powered submarine deployed near the Venezuelan coast under the argument of combating drug trafficking, but Nicolás Maduro’s Executive considers this an attempt to promote a “regime change” in the South American country.
Godfather López called this Sunday for “active resistance” and “permanent offensive” against “the aggression and military threat of the largest, most genocidal, most outlandish power in its principles, which is the power of the north, the United States of America.”
