Delta and Air Canada planes collide on the ground at Los Angeles airport

A Delta Airbus A350 and an Air Canada Boeing 777 collided on the ground Tuesday at Los Angeles International Airport in the United States.
The incident occurred while the Delta aircraft was taxiing. Its left wing struck the right side of the tail of the Air Canada plane, which had suddenly stopped while being towed.
No passengers or crew members were injured in the collision. Both aircraft were removed from service for inspection.
Federal authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
