Paris – France considers Iran’s decision to designate the armies of the European Union (EU) countries as terrorist organizations “has no basis” and constitutes a “shocking response from the regime”, according to sources from the French diplomacy this Sunday.
Iran’s measure came in retaliation for the community bloc’s decision to declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization, a force that has a “primary responsibility for the unsustainable repression of the Iranian people’s revolt,” those sources recalled.

“That’s why France has supported its inclusion on the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations,” they added.
From Paris, Tehran was urged to “imperatively release prisoners, end executions, lift the digital blockade, and allow the UN Human Rights Council’s Fact-Finding Mission to investigate the crimes committed in Iran.”
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot had spoken earlier about the situation in Iran, in an interview published this Sunday by the newspaper Libération.
“The United States has put itself in a position to launch a military operation against Iran. At the same time, it has proposed negotiations to the regime, which must accept them without fail, decide to make important concessions and radically change its position,” considered the head of French diplomacy.
