Tehran.- Iran reported this Thursday that U.S. projectiles struck the vicinity of the Bushehr nuclear power plant this afternoon, without causing any damage or casualties.
“This afternoon, attacks have taken place against several locations in the province of Bushehr, including the perimeter of the nuclear power plant, the Choghadak military base, and a fishing port in the south of the province,” said the deputy governor of Bushehr, Ehsan Jahanian.

The source accused the United States of the attacks and stated that, “according to initial reports, they have not caused any casualties so far.”
During the war that began on February 28, there have been several bombing impacts in the vicinity of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, whose management involves the Russian atomic agency, Rosatom, which even evacuated its personnel from the facilities in April.
The United States has been attacking the Islamic Republic for two days, in operations that Washington claims were intended to impose “significant costs” on Iran for what it considers Iranian violations of the ceasefire by attacking three merchant vessels sailing through the Strait of Hormuz.
In the latest attacks last night, U.S. forces bombed approximately 90 Iranian military targets in the early hours, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone depots, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along the Iranian coastline, reported the United States Central Command (CENTCOM).
These attacks have caused at least 14 deaths and 78 injuries in the last two days.
Iran responded with attacks against targets at the U.S. bases of Arifjan and Ali Al Salem in Kuwait and the Juffair and Sheikh Isa bases in Bahrain, as announced by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump ended the truce with Iran, and his Administration justified that the new attacks seek to degrade Tehran’s military capacity and ensure free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which is key to the global fossil energy market.
Iran denounced that the offensive constitutes a “clear violation” of the ceasefire agreement reached on June 17 between Washington and Tehran.
