Iran signals openness to resolving conflict with US through dialogue

Iran has signaled its willingness to continue diplomatic efforts to resolve its conflict with the United States, as both countries exchange messages through intermediaries amid ongoing tensions.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday, November 2, that communications between Tehran and Washington were continuing through mediators. He also indicated that Iran had revised its seven-stage proposal into a plan that could potentially be implemented within two days.

The diplomatic contacts come after several days of discussions involving Qatari mediators and Iranian officials, with no final agreement announced.

Iranian authorities have maintained that diplomacy remains an option, while also warning that the country is prepared to respond to any renewed military attacks.

The negotiations are taking place amid efforts to prevent further escalation of the conflict and address issues including the Strait of Hormuz and restrictions on Iranian ports.
