Rabat.- Moroccan authorities have arrested a controversial influencer following widespread outrage in the country over the release of a video where he cooked a stray dog during last week’s Eid al-Adha lamb festival.
The arrest coincides with the complaint filed by the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) of Morocco for alleged acts of cruelty.
“This arrest constitutes an important first step and demonstrates that reports of animal cruelty must be taken seriously,” the Moroccan SPA stated in a post on the social network Facebook after the arrest was made known, recalling that these acts “must be subject to prosecution in accordance with the law.”

The content creator, known by the pseudonym ‘bn nsns’ and who has more than 2.2 million subscribers, posted a video in which he cooked a dead dog and consumed its remains, in a context that he linked to the rise in lamb prices for the great Muslim holiday.
Following the controversy, he deleted the video and claimed that he had not killed the animal, but rather had found it dead on the road after it had been hit by a vehicle.

Internet users described the images as “repugnant” and “shocking” and called for his imprisonment and the intervention of animal protection associations. Furthermore, numerous users considered it a lack of respect for one of the most important rites of Islam.
It is not the first controversy for the influencer, who had previously appeared consuming crocodile or snake meat, entering caves, and spending the night in tombs.
Their account went viral in Spain in 2025, when they posted images of their incursion into the Chafarinas Islands while wandering through a cemetery where Spanish soldiers are buried, which also sparked a major uproar in the neighboring country.
