Seriously ill patient falls from stretcher while being taken to ambulance in Brazil
Security cameras captured the moment a patient being transported from his home to an ambulance fell from a stretcher in São Sebastião do Paraíso, Brazil, at around 10 a.m. on Monday, September 7.
The widely shared footage shows two workers carrying the patient on a stretcher. As they reached the street and attempted to move down from the sidewalk, the stretcher suddenly tipped onto its right side, causing the patient to fall to the ground and hit his head and arm.
After the fall, one of the workers rushed to help the man, who was lying in the roadway, while the other tried to stabilize the stretcher. The patient was then lifted by his arms and placed back onto the stretcher.
