SIPConnect 2025 kicks off today in Miami with a focus on artificial intelligence and the future of journalism

MIAMI.- With an interactive workshop sponsored by Google News Initiative, the SIPConnect 2025 event, organized by the Inter American Press Association (IAPA), kicks off today in the city of Miami, under the theme “Reinventing the Future of the Media”. The conference, which will take place until July 18 at the Intercontinental Doral Hotel, brings together more than 160 journalists, editors, technologists, and media leaders from across America and Europe, with a focus on three thematic axes: Explore, Co-create, and Connect. The inaugural day of this Tuesday begins at 2:30 in the afternoon with the workshop “NotebookLM for media and journalists”, given by the Mexican instructor and academic Mariana Alvarado, in collaboration with Google.

Wednesday, July 16
• Official opening (8:30 a.m.)
