Supporters gathered outside an ICE office in Blue Ash, Ohio, to show support for Haitian migrants attending scheduled immigration check-ins after reports that many recently lost Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
Videos from the scene showed demonstrators cheering and chanting, “Immigrants are welcome here,” as Haitian nationals entered the federal building.
Advocates said some of those reporting for their appointments were fitted with ankle monitors and issued new immigration court dates.
