Washington.– The president of the United States, Donald Trump, assured this Tuesday that his country will use “all its power” to prevent another attack like the September 11, 2001, attacks from happening again.
“No one could even imagine that something like this could happen again, and we are going to use all of our power to ensure that it does not happen,” declared Trump during a commemorative event for the 25th anniversary of 9/11 in front of the White House.

Trump, who described that day as “a day like no other”, recalled that the United States is now at war with Iran and promised that the Islamic Republic will never obtain a nuclear weapon.
“We will never forget those we lost and we will never forget the immortal heroes of September 11, 2001. And I will tell you that right now we are fighting because there is a nation that wanted a nuclear weapon. Iran will not have a nuclear weapon,” the president emphasized.

Trump participated in an event organized by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which supports the families of police officers, military personnel, and firefighters who died after responding to the September 11 attacks.
The event was held at The Ellipse, a park adjacent to the White House, where a steel beam from one of the Twin Towers in New York that collapsed during the attacks was installed.
The president, who for years was a construction tycoon in New York, recalled that that morning he looked out the window and it seemed like “a beautiful morning” to him, but later he saw images on the news that he hopes “never to see again”.

He also recalled the experience of his current Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, who was present at the event and survived the attacks because he took his son to school that morning and arrived late to his office, located in the World Trade Center.
Trump will commemorate this September 11th the 25th anniversary of the attacks from the memorial installed at the Pentagon, one of the targets of the terrorist attacks, instead of doing so at Ground Zero in Manhattan, where the Twin Towers once stood.
According to media outlets such as The New York Times, the president allegedly made this decision because speeches by political leaders are prohibited at Ground Zero, a version that has been denied by the White House.
