Trump will resume rallies in Iowa and Kansas after having canceled them on Thursday

United States President Donald Trump will resume the rallies he had scheduled for this weekend in Iowa and Kansas after having canceled them this Thursday, a source close to the matter confirmed to EFE.

The same source explained that Trump “loves his supporters” and that he will hold “nearly 20 telephone rallies” in addition to the consecutive rallies in Kansas and Iowa, two Midwestern states with a Republican tradition where polls point to a certain Democratic advantage.

“No one works harder, fights harder, or loves the American people more than President Donald J. Trump!” explained the source, who added that “the rallies were rescheduled for calendar reasons to accommodate nearly 20 additional virtual rallies that were recently added to the President’s schedule.”

This weekend’s rallies are part of the intense tour that the president has launched in the final stretch of the campaign, at a time when polls practically take a Democratic victory in the House of Representatives for granted and when the battle to achieve a majority in the Senate is very tight.

Trump’s health status

The cancellation of the rallies had increased doubts about Trump’s fatigue in these last few days, and the president went as far as to insult a Reuters journalist this Thursday by calling him “repugnant,” after the reporter asked him if the cancellation of his rally in Kansas was related to his state of health.

“You’re disgusting. Get in shape. You look terrible,” Trump told the reporter during a round of questions for the president upon his arrival at Andrews base, after returning from a Republican rally in South Carolina.

“I feel perfect,” added Trump, who denied that his health had any relation to the cancellation of the events that have been rescheduled for this Friday.
