VIDEO: Trump jokes that he has “always hated young and handsome people”
U.S. President Donald Trump joked on October 20 that he has never liked “young and beautiful people” while introducing members of his administration’s new anti-fraud initiative.
“Look at them. Young and beautiful people,” Trump said as he introduced the team. “I’ve always hated young and beautiful people. I never liked them. Come on up. Go ahead. These people are exceptional.”
The remarks came during the presentation of a new program aimed at identifying fraud within the administration, tracking stolen money, uncovering irregularities and recovering taxpayer funds.
Trump praised the team’s performance, saying its members were doing an excellent job before inviting them to come forward.
The comments appeared to be made in jest as the president introduced the group responsible for the anti-fraud effort.
