U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem hospitalized after an allergic reaction
USA.- The U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, was transferred this Tuesday to a hospital in Washington after suffering an allergic reaction, reported the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
“Secretary Noem suffered an allergic reaction today. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution. She is alert and recovering,” said Tricia McLaughlin, DHS spokesperson. With 53 years old, Noem is the former governor of South Dakota and a former congresswoman. She was appointed to head the DHS by President Donald Trump after his re-election, and confirmed by the Senate in January, becoming a key figure in the cabinet, especially due to Trump’s central focus on immigration policies.
