Venezuela thanks the stance of China and other countries against the attacks from the U.S.

Caracas.- The Government of Venezuela thanked this Sunday the position of China and other countries against the attacks by the United States on Venezuelan territory and the subsequent capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.
In messages published on his Telegram account, Chancellor Yván Gil thanked China’s “firm stance”, a country that urged the U.S. to release Maduro and, according to the Venezuelan official, “to stop attempts to subvert order in Venezuela”.
Likewise, he acknowledged Namibia’s pronouncement, which, according to Gil, condemned the aggression against Venezuelan sovereignty and what he labeled as the “kidnapping” of Maduro.
He also thanked Ghana’s “strong support” against the attacks in the South American country, “the kidnapping” of the president and “the unilateral use of force against a sovereign nation”.
He also highlighted the message from the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, who, according to the Foreign Minister, condemned “the desecration of Venezuela’s sovereignty” and called it “a violation of international law and the illicit use of force against a sovereign nation”.

Gil reported that he held a conversation with Edouard Bizimana, Burundi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. “Burundi has expressed its alignment with the position of the African Union, which has unanimously rejected the atrocious act perpetrated by the United States,” he said. The United States carried out a military operation in Caracas and several states of Venezuela early Saturday morning, which included bombings in military and urban areas and affected the electricity supply in several areas of the capital. During the operation, he captured the leader and his wife, who were transferred to the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, a high-security federal prison, and who will appear this Monday before a federal court in New York in what will be their first hearing in the North American country, as confirmed by judicial sources to EFE. According to a spokesperson for the Southern District Court of New York, both will be brought before federal judge Alvin K. Hellerstein in Manhattan at 12:00 local time (17:00 GMT).#Most read
