The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released an AI-generated video mocking the United Nations, showing parrots occupying seats and speaking at the General Assembly.
In the video, the birds repeatedly say “Blame Israel” as more parrots join them, turning the assembly hall into what the campaign portrays as a chorus of accusations against Israel. The clip ends with the message: “Repeating lies doesn’t make them true.”
The video is part of a campaign called “The UN’s Lie Industry,” launched by Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism together with the National Public Diplomacy Directorate in the Prime Minister’s Office. Israeli officials say the campaign seeks to challenge what they describe as systematic bias against Israel at the United Nations.
The video was released as the UN General Assembly opened in New York and ahead of Netanyahu’s scheduled address, amid renewed international criticism of Israel over its actions in Gaza and the wider Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
