Marileidy Paulino shines at the Grand Slam Track with an impressive 49.12 in the 400 meters

Dominican sprinter Marileidy Paulino once again demonstrated her dominance in the 400-meter dash by winning this Saturday the third stop of the Grand Slam Track, held in the emblematic Franklin Field stadium in Philadelphia. The Olympic champion won with an outstanding time of 49.12 seconds, opting for this event instead of the Diamond League.

Paulino, known as the “Ebony Gazelle,” continues to accumulate triumphs in this new circuit organized by the legendary athlete Michael Johnson. In the second day of the Grand Slam, held in Miami from May 2 to 4, she had already made her mark by winning the 200 meters with a national record (22.30) and also taking the 400 meters.

In this new victory, she once again surpassed her great rival, Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain, who finished the race with a time of 49.47 seconds.

The Dominican has a new appointment this Sunday at 4:43 in the afternoon, when she will compete in the 200-meter dash, another of her specialties.
