Miami.- The manager of the Dominican team in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, Albert Pujols, told the press that first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., center fielder Julio Rodríguez, and catcher Austin Wells will rest this Monday in the game in which the Dominicans will face the Israeli Baseball Team, in the continuation of the event.

The tricolor squad has a 2-0 record, while those from the Middle East have a 1-1 record. Pujols considered the rest that the mentioned players will receive as deserved, which will give them greater flexibility for the last match of this phase, next Wednesday, against the Venezuelan Baseball Team. The substitutes will be Carlos Santana at first base, Oneil Cruz in center field, and Agustín Ramírez as catcher.
