Following the impact, Rodríguez was visibly affected and was assisted by medical staff and team members to leave the playing field, generating concern among teammates, rivals, and fans present at the Julián Javier stadium.
According to the updated information, the baseball player received the blow between the eye and the cheekbone, and subsequently lost consciousness on several occasions, so he was immediately transferred to a medical center in the city of San Francisco de Macorís for a more in-depth evaluation.
