Brewers reach 90 wins and move closer to playoffs

Milwaukee. – The Milwaukee Brewers took a firm step towards the postseason by defeating the St. Louis Cardinals 8-2 this Friday, in a game marked by the power of Christian Yelich and the consistency on the mound of Quinn Priester, who extended his streak of consecutive winning decisions to 12, a franchise record.

With the triumph, Milwaukee reached 90 victories in the season, becoming the first team in Major League Baseball to reach that figure in 2025. This is also the 12th time in the club’s history that they have achieved that number of wins, remaining only six short of their historical record of 96, achieved in 2011 and 2018. Priester (13-2) worked 5.1 innings in which he allowed five hits and two runs, with five strikeouts and one walk, maintaining his usual dominance.
