SANTO DOMINGO.– The Leones del Escogido continued with a perfect pace in the Round Robin of the LIDOM championship, by defeating 4-2 the Gigantes del Cibao on Monday night at the Julián Javier Stadium, a result that left the francomacorisanos without victories in their first three presentations.

The decisive hit was connected by Elier Hernández, who hit a two-run double in the eighth inning to break the tie and give the Leones the definitive lead. Hernández drove in Raimel Tapia and Jorge Mateo, and later scored on a single by Pedro Severino. With the triumph, the Escogido improved its record to 3-0, consolidating itself at the top of the standings of the Everyone against Everyone.
