SANTIAGO.– Dominican shortstop Geraldo Perdomo, accompanied by several members of the Águilas Cibaeñas, showed responsible behavior and respect by helping to clean the playing field of the Estadio Cibao, after fans threw trash from the stands following an umpiring decision that generated controversy.

The situation originated after the umpires sanctioned a play for obstruction, which provoked a negative reaction from a sector of the public. Bottles, glasses and other objects were thrown onto the field, forcing the temporary interruption of the match.
Faced with the scenario, Perdomo and his teammates chose to intervene in a positive way, collecting the waste scattered on the field and helping to restore order. The action was valued as a message of calm and respect towards the game, the authorities and the fans themselves.
