Cleveland.– José Ramírez continues to write golden pages in the history of the Guardians. The stellar Dominican third baseman hit two solo home runs in the 4-3 victory over the Marlins, reaching his
27th game with multiple home runs and becoming the absolute leader of the franchise in that category. With this feat, Ramírez surpassed Hall of Famer Jim Thome and five-time All-Star Albert Belle, who shared the previous record with 26 games.

The first hit of the night came in the first inning against Janson Junk, and the second, decisive one, in the eighth inning against Calvin Faucher, breaking a 3-3 tie and leading the home team to victory at Progressive Field.
At 32 years old, “J-Ram” already has 33 stolen bases this season and is approaching his fourth campaign with 30 home runs, with the possibility of achieving his third year with 30/30 figures. Since his debut in 2013, he shares eighth place for most multi-homerun games in the Majors with Juan Soto and George Springer, on a list headed by Aaron Judge (44).
Manager Stephen Vogt praised his player’s ability to perform in key moments:
“You have to see it at any moment of the game, but especially in the final instances. Tonight was special: becoming the franchise leader with 27 games like this is crazy. I’m very happy for Hosey”.
With this victory, Cleveland improves its record to 62-56 and remains in the fight for the top of the American League Central Division, four games behind the Detroit Tigers in the loss column.
