Machado joins the Dominican selection for the third time for the World Baseball Classic

Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) announced this Monday the integration of star third baseman Manny Machado to the team that will represent the Dominican Republic in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, thus marking his third participation with the national team in the prestigious international tournament.

Machado, one of the most complete figures in Major League Baseball, will once again wear the tricolor uniform after having participated in previous editions of the Classic, contributing leadership, experience, and an elite defense in the infield, in addition to his recognized offensive impact. Considered among the best third basemen of his generation, the player has reiterated on multiple occasions his commitment and pride in representing the Dominican Republic in international competitions, establishing himself as a key piece within the core of the Dominican team. The presence of Machado further strengthens the Dominican roster, which continues to reveal high-caliber names with the aim of returning to the top of world baseball in the 2026 edition of the Classic.
