A Bitter End for the Licey

The outcome came in the ninth inning, when a hit inside the infield by Robinson Canó left the Tigres on the field. The left-hander Andrew Pérez (0-1, 6.75) took the loss after issuing a walk and allowing the decisive hit. For Licey, César Valdez opened, completing 4.2 innings with six hits, four earned runs, one walk, and two strikeouts.
