Toros achieve third consecutive victory by dominating Estrellas 6-1 in San Pedro

SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS. – With an early attack led by Eloy Jiménez and Gilberto Celestino, in addition to a solid bullpen work, the Toros del Este extended their good moment this Tuesday by defeating the Estrellas Orientales 6-1 at the Tetelo Vargas stadium.

With the victory, the Toros set their record at 17-15, string together three consecutive wins and remain firm in second place in the standings. In addition, they are 4-3 in the particular series against the Estrellas, who now record 15-19.

Leasher Debuts with Triumph

The victory went to the left-hander Aaron Leasher (1-0, 0.00), who debuted in great form from the bullpen working 1.2 scoreless innings, with two hits, two walks and two strikeouts. By the Stars, the opener James González (0-3, 9.58) took the loss after failing to complete the first inning, in which he allowed four decisive runs.
