SANTO DOMINGO,- The club Rafael Barias eliminated El Millón by achieving an important victory this Wednesday, 107-79, which gave them the classification to the Elimination Phase along with San Lázaro and Bameso in group B, in the continuation of the regular series of the TBS Distrito 2025.

The match was held at the Ricardo -Gioriver- Arias Volleyball Palace of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.
The Barians tied their 4-4 record in the presentation of credentials as leader of their former player José -Pancho- Fortuna (1-0), while the millionaires are again ruled out of the capital contest with 1-7, leaving them with two games to play that even if they win they would not reach the four victories of El Barias, equal with Bameso and the leader San Lázaro.
In the other group, Group A, the San Carlos club is the first to qualify with the best record of the tournament, 6-2, while Mauricio Báez is tied with 4-4 in second position with Los Prados, and Huellas del Siglo (3-5), are vying for the remaining two spots.
Each group, A and B, grants three spots to the Elimination Phase, and they carry over their same record obtained in the regular round.
For the Villa Consuelo team, the best were Bryan Ramírez with 22 points and four assists, and he led five other teammates with 10 or more points: LJ Figueroa scored 18 points, Luis López 14, Dimas Carrasco 13, and the American reinforcement Jordan Goldwire contributed 12 and the San Cristobal reinforcement Jonathan Araujo completed a double-double of 10 digits and grabbed 11 rebounds.
By El Yireh, Jesse Zarzuela scored 17 points with seven assists, reinforcements Ruo Monyyong (eight rebounds) and Myron McGowan 13 each and Andrés Fulgencio had 12.
The TBS District 2025 is organized by the National District Basketball Association (Abadina), chaired by Colonel (PN) Diego Pesqueira, and the Organizing Committee is headed by José Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency.
This year’s event is dedicated to the Dominican Sports Immortal Evaristo Pérez, former member of the national basketball team and former player of the San Carlos squad.
