Referee faints during match between Héroes de Moca and Reales de la Vega
La Vega. Dominican referee Erick Mejía suffered a fainting spell while officiating the LNB game held this Friday at the Fernando Teruel sports complex in La Vega.
Mejía was initially assisted by player Eloy Vargas, from Héroes de Moca, before collapsing completely and falling onto the court, generating moments of concern among players and attendees.
No official medical report has been offered so far. Although there has been speculation about a possible heart attack, the authorities have not confirmed this information.
