TBS Higüey 2025 starts its semifinal series this Saturday

HIGÜEY, LA ALTAGRACIA.- San Francisco club won the last qualifying ticket to the semifinal by obtaining a 102-96 victory over the San José team, to close the regular series of the 50th Superior Basket Altagraciano Tournament (TBS Higüey 2025).

This victory put San Francisco in third place in the standings with a 5-5 record and will face Savica’s team (6-4), in the B semifinal series, agreed to a 5-3. San Francisco, Centro and Cambelén, finished the three tied with 5-5, but the latter was left out after falling below in the goal average calculations. This semifinalist stage B begins this Saturday, at 7:20 p.m., while series A, between the Antonio Guzmán (6-4) and Centro clubs, will begin at 9:00 p.m., also at a 5-3, both matches to be played at the Leo Tavárez sports center, in the city of Higüey. San Francisco’s offense featured natives Oscar Montero with 31 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, and Jorky Mota scored 26 points, grabbed four balls and provided eight assists, and Roel López achieved a double-double of 16 units, 10 rebounds and seven passes. Capital reinforcement Luis Feliz contributed 12 points plus seven rebounds, and Leoanny Reynoso added 11 points with seven balls captured. In the reverse, by San José (3-7) who was disqualified, Brailyn Reyes scored 27 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, the capital reinforcement Bryan Ramírez had 25 units, five rebounds and nine passes, Steven Brito 19 and nine captures, and Albert Reyes eight and 10 catches.
