Club Antonio Guzmán advances to the semifinal series in the TBS Higüey 2025

HIGÜEY, LA ALTAGRACIA.- The Antonio Guzmán club advanced to the semifinal series, along with Savica, by defeating the Cambelén team this Sunday, 93-81, in the continuation of the 50th Superior Basketball Tournament of Altagracia (TBS Higüey 2025).

Antonio Guzmán and Savica are tied for first place in the standings, both with a 6-4 record, to be the first to qualify for the semifinal playoffs, out of four available spots. The two remaining vacancies of the battle are the clubs Centro (5-4), San Francisco and Cambelén who register 4-5, and San José accumulates 3-6, last. The match was played at the Leo Tavárez sports center, in the city of Higüey. The top scorers for Antonio Guzmán were José Castillo with 29 points, Ariel De León scored 25 points, and the Santiago reinforcement Oliver García achieved a double-double of 24 digits and 12 assists, in addition to five rebounds. By Cambelén, reinforcement Adonis López had double figures in scoring (18) and rebounds (17), José Luis De la Cruz 15, Junior Fortuna 13, seven balls captured and distributed four assists, Francisco Campusano 12 and Nathanael Bonet scored 10. Happy help to San Francisco National District reinforcement, Luis Feliz, scored 31 points to lead the victory of the San Francisco club 102-92 over Savica, on the Sunday day. Feliz added six rebounds and gave seven assists, Oscar Montero contributed 22 points, four balls and six assists, Jorky Mota 17, Leoanny Reynoso scored 14 units and Roel López 10. By Savica, Dayker Cedano had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds with four assists, Darwin Rosario 21, seven catches and eight assists, Roderick Guzmán scored 14, Manuel Suero contributed 11 baskets and Ambiorix Moisés had 10. The contest is organized by the Basketball Association of La Altagracia Province (ABAPA), chaired by deputy Jorge Tavárez, and has a special dedication to Monsignor Jesús Castro Marte, Bishop of the Diocese of Our Lady of La Altagracia.

Tuesday’s Games
With the games this Tuesday, the regular season in the TBS Higüey 2025 concludes, which already has the Savica club anchored in the semifinal series, and the other three remaining spots will be defined.

The first to take the field are the Cambelén (4-4) and Centro (5-4) clubs, at 7:20 p.m., and then, at 9:00, the San Francisco (3-5) versus San José (3-6) teams.
