SAN CRISTÓBAL. The Titanes del Sur put on a show on both defense and offense to keep their semifinal aspirations alive by defeating the Gigantes Basketball Club 95 to 80 in a Super Liga LNB Elimination Phase game held this Wednesday at the Sports Center in this city.

With the victory, the Titans improved their record to 11-13, while the Giants, who are already qualified, have a record of 16-8.
The South team shot very well from the field, with 48 percent (33 of 69), and from the three-point arc they converted 14 of 33 attempts, for 48 percent, while the Giants shot for 39 percent from the field, and from three-point range, for 39 percent after hitting six baskets in 21 attempts.
The partials ended 24-14, 32-20, 18-26, 21-26 in favor of the Titanes, who relied on the offense of Ricardo Ledo, with 22 points, followed by Luis David Montero, with 19 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists; Diego Colón scored 12; Jhonatan Araujo finished with nine points and 11 rebounds, and Richard Bautista finished with six units, five rebounds and eight assists.

With a fluid defense and dominance in various aspects of the game, the Titans went into halftime with a comfortable 22-point lead (56-34) after outscoring their opponents 24-14 and 32-20 in the first half.
