David Ortiz will undergo surgery this Friday and thanks his fans for their support

Santo Domingo.– The Dominican ex-baseball player and member of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame, David Ortiz, announced that he will undergo a medical intervention this Friday, although he did not offer specific details about the procedure. The information was shared by “Big Papi” himself through a video posted on his social media, where he is seen lying on a stretcher, wearing a medical gown, a blue surgical cap, and his characteristic dark glasses. With his usual charisma, the former Boston Red Sox player expressed his faith in God and thanked everyone for their support.

“With God’s grace we’re going to get on top. You know that the 34 is tired of limping,” he commented with a laugh, awakening a wave of messages of support from fans, colleagues, and sports figures.

During the recording, Ortiz also had words for his family and close circle, thanking them for their prayers and constant support:

“Thanks to my people, always praying for one. The family that is always ready with me, my children,” he expressed.

Although details about the nature of the surgery have not been revealed, the former slugger’s statements have given rise to speculation about a possible leg condition. However, neither Ortiz nor his team have confirmed that information.

It is expected that after the procedure, David Ortiz himself will provide updates on his health status.
