Dominican Republic loses to Mexico in the Kids Caribbean Series final

The Dominican Republic national team earned the runner-up title in the 2026 Kids Caribbean Series, after a dramatic 11-8 loss to Mexico Green (Jaguares de Nayarit) in a decisive game that kept emotions at the limit until the final out.
The Dominican team, which reached the grand final undefeated and exhibiting absolute dominance throughout the tournament, battled from beginning to end on Mexican soil.
However, a fierce offensive by the home team in the top of the sixth inning, led by back-to-back home runs, turned the score in favor of the Aztecs, thus breaking the historic winning streak of the Dominican squad.

Although the adverse result was partly due to defensive lapses in the final innings, the Dominican delegation demonstrated a first-rate technical level, gallantry, and a high sporting spirit that held the national flag high in this important international youth-level competition.
The board of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) formally congratulates each of the children, as well as the coaching staff, for their unconditional dedication, discipline, and the worthy role played throughout the entire tournament.
