Organizing Committee opens the East stands and stalls of the Olympic Stadium for free for athletics

SANTO DOMINGO.– The Organizing Committee of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 announced this Sunday that the East stands and seating areas of the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium will be available free of charge for athletics competitions, with the aim of facilitating greater fan attendance at one of the most attractive disciplines of the sports program.

The measure is part of the initiatives to encourage public participation, while maintaining the access and security controls established for the development of the Games.

Those interested must reserve their tickets in advance, free of charge, through the UEPA Tickets platform to access the enabled areas of the East stands and stalls.

The Organizing Committee explained that, although tickets will be free, access will continue to be granted only through tickets, in order to ensure proper capacity control and preserve the safety of athletes, officials, and spectators.

The West stands and stalls of the Olympic Stadium will continue to be available under the previously established sales scheme, maintaining the prices announced for those locations.

Likewise, the organization reported that the baseball games to be held at the Olympic Center stadium will also have free admission.

Likewise, he announced that the bleachers at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium will be open to the public free of charge, allowing a greater number of fans to enjoy the competitions.

The Organizing Committee reiterated that the ticketing system is in place for security and capacity control reasons, while also facilitating public access to the various sports venues.

Since the beginning of the Games, it was reported that 85 percent of the events would be completely free, a measure that has contributed to a remarkable public attendance at the various competitions.
