The streaming platform Prime Video announced the premiere of “The Greatest”, the first authorized fiction series that portrays the life of the iconic boxer Muhammad Ali. The production will arrive in the catalog on November 4th.
The project features the participation of Lonnie Ali as executive producer, ensuring a vision close to the former world champion’s story. The direction will be in charge of Ben Watkins, while the production company Outlier Society, founded by Michael B. Jordan, is part of the team responsible for the production.
The series will chronicle the journey of Cassius Clay, the name with which the athlete was born, until he became Muhammad Ali, one of the most iconic figures in boxing and social activism in the United States. The plot will cover both his rise to the world heavyweight title and the moments that defined his influence beyond the ring.
