About Edwin Dormoy
His passion for audiovisual art was born at 8 years of age in his native Dominican Republic, after visiting the set of a popular local television show. He was fascinated by the lights, the hallways of the channel, and the machinery behind the scenes, which defined his vocation.
At 10 years old, he emigrated to the United States and, by age 14, he began to manifest his creativity by recording acting videos with his friends using a digital camera; it was at that same age that he made his first edits using the Windows Movie Maker program.
Edwin Dormoy has developed much of his career behind the camera, but he also possesses a prominent interpretive and multifaceted side. He has worked in both English-language series and films as well as notable Spanish-language productions, including projects for Telemundo Studios, Telemicro Internacional and various theatrical plays. During his time in New York city, he collaborated on top-tier projects for streaming giants such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video, solidifying his reputation in the American industry.
