La Vega.- A 20-year-old man was shot twice in the chest and killed early this Monday morning while hanging out with several friends at a corner store in the Villa Palmarito sector, in a crime that, according to preliminary investigations, may be linked to a dispute that occurred months ago.

The victim was identified as Junior Florentino Hernández, who died as a result of the gunshot wounds he received during the attack.

According to the authorities, the alleged perpetrator is Brayan Acevedo Domínguez, alias “Maicol Po”, who turned himself in to the National Police hours after the homicide and remains under arrest while the investigative process continues.

Preliminary reports indicate that both the victim and the detainee had been involved in a violent altercation last September, a conflict that allegedly triggered the fatal outcome.
