Nio Garcia is robbed at his residence and jewelry valued at $300,000 is stolen
Puerto Rico.– Urban artist Nio García was the victim of a home robbery on Wednesday night, when three armed and masked men broke into his residence in the Gardenville urbanization, in Guaynabo.
According to information provided by the Police, the incident occurred around 8:46 PM, while the artist, whose name is Luis Antonio Quiñones García, was in the property with his wife.
The suspects, dressed in black and with their faces covered, entered the hall area carrying firearms. Under threat, one of them allegedly struck the singer on the head with the back of a weapon.
Subsequently, the assailants headed to the closet in one of the rooms, from where they allegedly stole gold and diamond jewelry valued at about $300,000, in addition to a Louis Vuitton bag whose value is estimated at $6,000.
The criminals also took the firearm that belonged to the interpreter of “Te Boté”.

Paramedics attended to Nio Garcia at his residence, while agents from the Guaynabo Municipal Police arrived at the scene.
The case was referred to the Bayamón Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC), which continues the investigation to identify those responsible. Investigators are also looking for security camera footage that could help establish the identity of the suspects and the vehicle used to escape.
The assault occurs just over a year after another similar robbery against an urban artist in Puerto Rico. In August 2025, several masked individuals broke into the residence of singer Cosculluela, in Trujillo Alto, where they gagged and tied up employees before taking more than $300,000 in jewelry and an SUV.
