A new femicide is recorded in Dajabón>

Dajabón.- A violent event shook the night of Saturday in the municipality of Partido, in Dajabón, when a man killed his partner with a shot and subsequently committed suicide. The victim was identified as Marlin Osmery Domínguez, 33 years old, who worked as a pharmacy assistant in the municipal hospital. The aggressor’s name was Eddy Jiménez, with whom she had a romantic relationship, according to information provided by the authorities. According to preliminary data, Jiménez would have waited for several hours for Domínguez until she returned from sharing time with some friends. It was at that moment when the femicide occurred. Neighbors in the area reported having heard screams and at least two shots before the tragedy was confirmed.

Family members and people close to the victim stated that Marlin was a victim of constant harassment by the aggressor, a situation that, according to them, had been previously reported to the Public Ministry, without managing to avoid the fatal outcome. Members of the National Police, agents from the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim), and Civil Defense units went to the scene, where they removed the bodies and initiated the corresponding investigations to clarify all the details of the case.
