São Paulo .- In the exterior area of Guarulhos airport, the largest in the country, in the city of São Paulo, a shooting occurred this Friday involving suspects who were trying to send a shipment of cocaine to Europe, official sources reported.
The incident occurred in broad daylight in the restricted access area of terminal 3 of the airport, located in the metropolitan area of São Paulo, the Federal Police indicated in a note.
The agents managed to thwart the shipment of the drugs, which were destined for the European continent and in which at least a dozen people participated, including a terminal worker, according to local press.
The suspects managed to escape
Security cameras captured the moment the suspects were loading boxes at a construction site in the vicinity of the airport.
Security forces approached the scene and there was a shootout with the gang, although no one was injured.

Thus, the Federal Police seized five suitcases with cocaine that were already inside an aircraft and four boxes abandoned at the scene.
