Peravia. A 19-year-old young man lost his life and two other people were injured during a shooting incident recorded early last Sunday in the Villa Majega sector, in the municipality of Baní, Peravia province.
The victim was identified as Franney Reyes, a resident of the Santa Cruz sector, who died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, according to preliminary information.
Also injured in the incident were Second Lieutenant of the Dominican Republic Army, Eligio García Mejía, 53, and Claudio Antonio Valdez Santana, 38, who was traveling on a motorcycle with the deceased at the time of the event.
The National Police reported that the circumstances under which the shooting occurred are still under investigation, so they have not established an official version regarding the origin of the confrontation nor have they identified those responsible.

The authorities indicated that members of the Central Directorate of Investigation (Dicrim) are carrying out the corresponding investigations to clarify the case and determine the appropriate responsibilities.
Franney Reyes’ body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) for legal procedures, while the injured are receiving medical attention.
