Cali.- In his presidential inauguration speech for the 2026-2030 term, held at the Pichincha Military Canton and broadcast from the Santiago de Cali University Arena, President Abelardo de la Espriella proposed a “regeneration” on four fronts: moral, institutional, administrative, and economic, with the goal of recovering the authority of the State and the trust of the Colombian people.
The president defined the foundations of his government under the concept of national regeneration.
“Morality in the exercise of power, an institutional regeneration that restores strength and authority to the State, an administrative regeneration that makes efficiency and transparency unbreakable rules of public service, an economic regeneration that strengthens private initiative, investment, confidence, and decent employment,” he stated.
De la Espriella assured that his government will seek to overcome polarization and rebuild the country’s social fabric.

“A regeneration that banishes hatred and resentment so that we may recognize each other once again as children of the same homeland and, above ideological differences, embrace one another under the same tricolor,” he noted.
