Santo Domingo.– The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, issued Decree no. 350-26, through which he ordered new appointments in the Dominican foreign service, within the framework of the powers conferred upon him by the Constitution and Law 630-16 on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Service.
According to the decree, Robert Ramón Arias Fernández was appointed as consul general of the Dominican Republic in Santiago, Chile, with jurisdiction over the entire Chilean territory.
Likewise, the president appointed as consul general of the Dominican Republic in Providence, Rhode Island, United States.

The provision also establishes the repeal of Article 2 of Decree No. 334-25, of June 20, 2025, which appointed María Luisa Ubiera Zorrilla as ambassador in the internal service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX).

The decree was issued in the exercise of the constitutional powers of the Executive Branch to direct foreign policy and make appointments within the diplomatic and consular corps of the Dominican Republic.
