Santo Domingo.- The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, highlighted this February 27 the strengthening and the unprecedented expansion of Infotep as one of the strategic pillars to boost productivity, employability and social mobility in the Dominican Republic.
During his Accountability speech before the National Assembly, the president emphasized that in the year 2025 the institution served more than 1,083,000 participants throughout the national territory, expanding capacities in key areas for the economy and directly responding to the demands of the productive sectors. “Development is not decreed, it is built by training its people”, stated the Head of State, reaffirming that the preparation of human capital is essential to achieve the RD 2036 Goal, which seeks to double the size of the economy in a generation. The president highlighted that more than 6,600 companies received assistance in training and human talent development through Infotep, strengthening business productivity and increasing job insertion opportunities for thousands of workers. He also reported that during 2025, nine new training centers were opened, expanding training coverage and reducing territorial gaps. “From eight facilities we found in 2020, today we have reached 67“, he pointed out, highlighting the structural growth of the institution in recent years.Related News
