Abinader will receive Dominican medalists from Santo Domingo 2026 in a recognition ceremony

Santo Domingo. -President Luis Abinader will host a luncheon this Wednesday in honor of the Dominican athletes who won medals at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, in recognition of their performance and the pride they brought to the country during the regional competition.

The meeting will take place at noon at the Banreservas Arena and will bring together the president with the athletes who reached the podium representing the Dominican Republic, as well as authorities linked to national sports.

The activity seeks to highlight the commitment, discipline, and dedication of the athletes, who achieved one of the most outstanding performances for the country in the recent history of the Games.

The Dominican Republic concluded its participation with a total of 150 medals: 46 gold, 37 silver, and 67 bronze, a performance that allowed it to finish in fifth place in the overall medal table and consolidate itself among the most competitive delegations of the event.
