“Agustín Laje asserts that Santiago Matías would win the election if he decides to run”

Santo Domingo.– The Argentine political scientist and writer Agustín Laje surprised by publicly expressing his support for a potential presidential candidacy of the businessman and communicator, Santiago Matías, popularly known as Alofoke.

During a live broadcast on social media, Laje was asked about a possible presidential candidacy for Matías and the possibility of it having the backing of U.S. President Donald Trump.

When responding, the Argentine analyst stated that he maintains a friendship with the Dominican communicator and highlighted his ideological affinity with conservative sectors.

“I have a friendship with Alofoke. I have been on his show. I think he is a great guy. A guy committed to right-wing ideas. Hopefully, hopefully,” expressed Laje.

However, the statement that drew the most attention was when he asserted that the media entrepreneur would have ample chances of success in an electoral race.

“If Alofoke runs for president, he would win,” the political scientist stated, sparking a wave of comments on social media regarding the political future of the influential Dominican communicator.

Laje’s statements come at a time when Santiago Matías’s name has been mentioned in various political and media settings as a possible figure with the capacity to influence future elections, due to the reach of his digital platforms and his influence among young Dominicans.

So far, Matías has not made any presidential aspirations official, although on various occasions he has addressed political issues and matters of national interest from his communication platforms.
