Army detains 26 undocumented immigrants in wooded area of Montecristi

Montecristi, R.D. – The Dominican Republic Army, as part of the interdiction operations carried out in the border area, detained 26 Haitian nationals in irregular migratory status, in a wooded area of the municipality of Guayubín, Montecristi province.

The arrest was carried out by members of the ERD, assigned to service at the Mangá checkpoint.

The group of undocumented individuals was composed of 15 men and 11 women.

Undocumented foreigners are in military custody at the aforementioned checkpoint and will be handed over to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) for the corresponding purposes.
