Army reinforces operations in Dajabón and detains another 10 undocumented Haitians
Dajabón. – The Dominican Republic Army (ERD) reported that it maintains reinforced surveillance and control operations in the border area of Dajabón, where another 10 Haitian nationals were arrested in an irregular migratory condition during operations carried out at the El Rodeo checkpoint.
According to military authorities, the detainees were trying to evade the controls established in that border area. The group was made up of five men and five women.
The operation was carried out by members of the ERD intelligence service and a patrol from the Tenth Infantry Battalion, with support from drone units deployed in the area.
