Santo Domingo.- With brushes, paints, paper, and lots of creativity, dozens of children participated in the first edition of the “We Are Fun” summer camp, an initiative of the Attorney General’s Office created to offer a space for recreation, learning, and inclusion to the sons and daughters of Public Ministry employees who require specialized care.
The activity takes place at the facilities of the National Botanical Garden, where participants enjoy recreational and artistic days focused on stimulating their skills, strengthening coexistence, and providing support to their families.
During one of the sessions, the Attorney General of the Republic, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, shared time with the children and highlighted the importance of creating spaces where they can feel integrated and supported by the institution.
“God willing, this camp will be held every year. So today is for having fun, for feeling loved, protected by the institution, and for you to leave here with the certainty that you are an essential part of us,” expressed Reynoso.
The official pointed out that the goal is for employees and their families to feel supported by the Public Ministry and recognized as a fundamental part of the institution.

The activities take place from 8:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon and include creative workshops, recreational dynamics, and interaction spaces where children can explore their talents through art, play, and different forms of communication.
Prosecutors from different areas of the Public Ministry and administrative staff participate as companions in this summer experience, designed to promote inclusion and strengthen the bonds between the participants.

The camp is part of the “Nosotros Program,” an initiative of the current administration of the Attorney General’s Office aimed at supporting the families of employees with sons and daughters who require specialized care.
Reynoso explained that the program’s name reflects the sense of belonging that the institution seeks to promote among its collaborators.
“We cannot talk about providing a service of excellence to the citizenry if we are not first capable of taking care of our people, of protecting them, and of making them an essential part of us,” he stated.
The attorney general thanked the work of the deputy attorney general Isis de la Cruz Duarte, in charge of coordinating the Nosotros Program, as well as the Administrative and Financial areas, the prosecutors, and other teams that made the development of the camp possible.
Among the activities carried out was the Creative Workshop, led by painting teacher Alma Vásquez, where children expressed their imagination through colors and art.
