Santo Domingo. – As part of its commitment to sustainable development and the strengthening of its institutional culture, Banco Santa Cruz held the twelfth edition of its Verano Teen Santa Cruz 2025 program, a training initiative aimed at children of employees aged between 13 and 17 years old.

expresó Michel Rodríguez, gerente de Aprendizaje y Desarrollo del Banco Santa Cruz.
This educational proposal seeks to raise awareness in the new generations about issues such as ecological, social, and personal sustainability, while promoting youth leadership and civic engagement from an early age.

For two weeks, the participants lived an immersive experience at the Executive Excellence Center, where they developed collaborative projects, creative recycling activities, conscious leadership exercises, and environmental impact challenges, such as beach cleanups in partnership with the Vida Azul Foundation.
Through active methodologies such as Project-Based Learning, the camp reinforced skills such as critical thinking, empathy, innovation, and collaboration, in a playful and emotionally safe learning environment.
The program included audiovisual creation spaces where young people designed content with sustainable messages for social networks, as well as activities such as conscious exchange fairs and upcycling workshops for social purposes.
“Estas experiencias estuvieron diseñadas para que los adolescentes no solo reflexionaran sobre sus hábitos de consumo y bienestar, sino que también se convirtieran en agentes de cambio dentro y fuera de sus hogares”,
añadió Rodríguez.
The day concluded with a closing fair where families could learn about the results of the process. Through this type of initiative, the entity reaffirms its commitment to the education of conscious citizens committed to their environment, contributing to the construction of a more responsible and inclusive society.
This proposal not only responded to the bank’s interest in promoting sustainable values, but also strengthened its positioning as a financial institution with a vision for the future, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the best corporate responsibility practices in the region.
