La Vega.- A man who allegedly belonged to the Dominican Republic Navy was found dead and in an advanced state of decomposition this Monday afternoon in an area near the Tavera dam, on the road that connects the Tavera community with El Caimito, in the province of La Vega.
n” “nThe discovery mobilized members of the National Police, representatives of the Public Ministry, and emergency services personnel, who arrived at the scene to carry out the removal of the body and initiate the corresponding investigations.
n” “nNext to the body, a CG-type motorcycle, a cell phone, and a wallet were found, evidence that was collected by the authorities as part of the investigative process.
n” “nAccording to preliminary reports, the deceased had ingested an insecticidal substance, although this version has not been officially confirmed and must be corroborated through forensic studies conducted by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF).
